Lara is a Go For Gold Kid

On Friday Lara received the prestigious Go For Gold award at Assembly. Lara has had an amazing start to the year and is enjoying the opportunity to manage her own learning. #booooom #proudofyou

Wacky Hair Day and FUNembly

On Friday we had a Wacky Hair Day to raise money for 'Shave for a Cure.' As a school we raised just over $600. We had the Wacky Hair Day because Isaac in LAVA shaved his head this week for Shave for a cure in remembrance of his cousin Dom. These are some of our amazing hairstyles.

We also had a FUNembly. We had whole school Jump Jam in the hall first - then the teachers split us up into classes (a Junior, Middle and Senior class together). In our groups we buddied up with someone from another syndicate and did three rotations. There was heaps of cool things to do like; Gala Games, Fun Golf, Singing and Rythym, Paint Splatter Art, Face Painting, Target Practice and a Photo Booth. To finish off we had a daylight disco in the quad. It was #FUN!

T20 Cricket Finals

A huge congratulations to the CSNS Knight Riders Team who won the T20 Cricket Competition last Friday. Van, Jacob, Teshan, Carter, Tyler G and Blake from GRi11 2.0 were in the team and represented College Street proudly. They played Colyton School in the final, getting them all out for 67. The boys chased them down in 12 overs to win the game.

Some outstanding skills saw Jacob taking 4 catches, Carter on a hat trick with two wickets in a row, and a fantastic team effort overall. Well done lads. Maybe some of our future Black Caps??

Anzac Assembly

On Wednesday next week we are having an Anzac Assembly and Book Launch at School.
The book launch is for 'Gladys goes to War' written by Glyn Harper and illustrated by Jenny Cooper.
It is pretty exciting because the TV cameras will be there at the event.

Our very own Siu and Zahra created this graphic design to advertise the event.
We think they are pretty clever!! What do you think?
