Diversity

Today we looked at some photos of children in other cultures and made some videos about what we could see.

Then we watched this video about Diversity - and amazingly we had some of the same opinions.

We think Diversity is about...

All being different
How our actions affect other people
Respecting eachother
What makes you unique
Everyone being different - even identical twins are different people
Being individual
Keeping the world interesting - if were all the same it would be boring
It's what makes us different
Showing what is unique about each person
Differences - small and big (not just people)
Helping us learn about others
Special things to you that make you who you are
The inside: that's what counts,
Having different personalities and all looking a bit different
Helping us realise and appreciate who other people are

We should celebrate and appreciate our differences!

Breakout Edu

In the first week of term 4 all of us got to have a chance to do the Breakout Edu. We were separated into groups of 10 and allocated a time in our time table .

Breakout Edu is where groups of people work together to solve clues and unlock a variety of different locks. All the locks are very challenging. But not too challenging.

The topic of our Breakout Edu was Star Wars and we had to ensure R5-D4 was in good hands. We had to collaborate to unlock all the locks to get our prize of lollipops. Yum!

We started by going into the Hideout (which was set up with star wars posters and props) and watched a short movie which explained what to do. Look at the photos below to see us complete the Breakout Edu.

Calendar Art

In GRi11 2.0 we are making Calendar Art for a fundraiser.

This year we used the photos from the production to make our calendar art. We used our amazing Graphic Designing skills to create these masterpieces. Check some of them out!
