Mattys Farewell

Matty Beardsley has been our teacher aid this year. He has been inspiring and really funny. He has helped us with our learning and has been like another teacher!

Next year Matty is going to Otago University to study to be a teacher! He is going to be an amazing teacher!

THANKS MATTY!

Last Day Origami

This morning Ella and Zara taught us how to fold Origami Cranes.

It was a fun activity!
They are going to take all of our paper cranes to make a mobile to leave at the school so that we can all be remembered and wish us all good luck!

A huge congratulations to Cole Phillips for winning the Ganugapati Cup.

The cup was donated to the school by the Ganugapati family to be awarded to a Year 6 College Street kid who has excelled academically and in sport.

CSNS GRi11 and CSNS 2.0 Touch teams

This year we had 2 touch teams made up of kids from GRi11 2.0. Every Friday we would head down to Monrad Park to play against other schools.

It was a really fun experience and we definitely improved throughout the season.

We would like to thank our coaches Miss Holder and Matty for giving up their time and expertise.

This year we had 6 member of GRi11 2.0 in the Kapa Haka. Brooke and Liam were chosen to be Kaia's.

It was brilliant to see them all perform with passion and expression!

Product Testing - Sumo Wrestling Suits

Two weeks ago we got to test out some new Sumo Wrestling suits. A parent at school wanted to see if they were suitable to hire out to kids so asked us if we would test them out (under close supervision of course).

We had a great time smashing into each other and slamming on the ground. We found that the suits were quite big and baggy and that the Helmets kept falling off. We gave feedback to the parent and suggested she get new helmets or a buckle!
