GRi11 Industries Production Day

Today (Sunday) we had a GRi11 Industries production day. We invited parents to come and help us start our business ventures. It was an awesome day and we made a lot of progress. Keep posted for our final product updates.

The Black sticks came to our school!

Today we had Georgia and Kayla from the Black Sticks Hockey team, and Pippa from Central. They came to talk to us about the upcoming NHL tournament on this weekend. We learned lots about what being a Black Stick is like. 

Did you know that Georgia used to go to CSNS?

Some of us were lucky enough to get a hockey t-shirt. We hope that CENTRAL plays well this weekend. 

Room 21 visit

Miss Manley read a story to our Room 21 friends that came to visit. We had lots of fun helping them with their colouring and reading them stories.

Doodle 4 Google

GRi11 Art

Today in GRi11 we had a go a some Dot Music Art. Inspired by the abstract, we listened to the music and let the vivids do the talking. We then coloured in the shapes we had created. 

Dance NZ Made

We were lucky enough to go and see Dance NZ Made today. There were lots of GRi11 kids in the team, and the performance was great! We wish you luck for your performance on Wednesday!

GRi11 Fun Day

Learning in GRi11 Term 2

Term 2 was very busy and we all worked extremely hard. To celebrate our Term we decided to have a Onesie Party at the end of Term. We played board games and watched a movie. It was a great way to spend time together and have some end of term FUN!

Young Leaders Morning Tea

The Young Leaders decided to #Payitforward at the end of the term by having a Morning Tea for the staff at CSNS.

The GRi11 Young Leaders and Sports Leaders played a major role in organising the event in the hall. It was a great Morning Tea and they have challenged staff to #Payitforward over the holidays.

I wonder how Miss G and Mr R will pay it forward?

Jump Jam With Brett!

Brett (the creator of Jump Jam) came to our school and taught C.S.N.S. some new routines!

We all enjoyed the routines and his positive energy. Look at these happy and healthy College Street kids go for gold!

Habit of Mind Posters

In GRi11 we have been busy making our own H.O.M. posters. At the beginning of the year we decided that we didn't want to have the normal/traditional posters so we made our own. #independance

We have a deeper understanding of the habits of mind now since we created the posters ourselves. 

Room11 Maths

In Room 11 Maths class we are managing our own learning. We have been using Google Classroom to find out our learning for the week and can attend workshops on things we need help with. Look at these kids going for gold with their maths. We love learning like this. We did a PMI about it and have made a few changes.

We get feedback on our learning. Tickled pink is right and green for grow means we need to work on it.
